Like the majority of Jewish communities of the world our community in Uzhgorod celebrates Jewish Holidays together. It has become a good tradition to gather in the beautiful building of the former synagogue (now it is the Philharmonic society). Owing to mutual understanding and co-operation with the management of the Philharmonic society the majority of our arrangements from the joyful festive of Purim to Passover Seder were held there.

It is enough to recall our guests and one may imagine the pleasance of the atmosphere. Let’s name just some of our guests: Mr. Tsvi-Girsh Tsatskes, cantor of the central synagogue in Brooklyn, NY; famous mime from Germany, Mr. Micheal Melmeister, who is an Uzhgoroder by birth; the Israeli duet of Asaph Nagel & Alor Wellner and many others.
